My initial call was to have our house painted (and we were referred to Laika Construction by our friends at Terry's Paint in Lynden), and to have some water damage repaired.  Steve came out and looked carefully at what needed to be done.  Not long after, we had an estimate that was detailed and reasonable.  Shortly after, a crew descended on our house and got started.  The water damage repair was done carefully and thoroughly.  We had pictures of all work being done.  The crew always carefully cleaned up after themselves.  The damage was repaired, and our house was painted beautifully.  We also had new gutters installed by Laika, and the finished product gives us peace of mind when it rains.  We are very happy with the quality of the work and the service we received from the folks at Laika Construction.   Communication was excellent.  Timeliness was appreciated.  There was one change order that we agreed to.  There were no surprises on the invoice at the end of the job.  I have no hesitation to recommend Laika for paint / water damage repair / gutter installation / etc.  It was nice to have one company take care of it all.  Thanks Laika Construction!

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. In November 2024 high winds from the Bomb Cyclone crashed a tree through our roof.  Within days LAIKA Construction had prepared a thorough proposal to rebuild the damaged roof and top floor and replace the broken windows which was received and rapidly approved by our insurance before the Thanksgiving holiday.  Tim, Steve and Vitale coordinated multiple teams on overlapping timelines to secure the structural review and demolition of the damaged roof while materials were being prepared. Consequently, LAIKA had orders for materials submitted to vendors in December and was able to immediately commence work on the reconstruction.  Their efficient oversight and planning resulted in completion of the reconstruction in under two months with only minor change orders.  Every color, texture and style was carefully matched to the original materials.  The crews at LAIKA worked efficiently and tirelessly and always with an eye towards quality to ensure we were completely satisfied with their work. I asked him about replacing some rotted fascia boards and window trim. He said not a problem and that they do many home repairs as well as painting. We agreed on the work and he scheduled us for about 3 weeks later. They arrived on time and did an excellent job. Tim even lined us up with a great deal on gutter replacement! Laika was very professional and left the site clean and tidy when complete. There was no changes to the agreement or hidden costs that showed up at the end.
